Crane builder

17.06.2009

Inseneeria 6/2009 (14): "There was no crane-building here in Soviet times, or maybe there was some in the military plant Dvigatel. Cranes were ordered from other parts of the Soviet Union and it could take a year before it was delivered. After Estonia's independence was reestablished, Rain Kallas and me initiated domestic crane-building business," relates Hanno Krosing, the crane builder and one of the owners of OÜ Funslide. When Inseneeria visited the plant, a frame 22,5 m in height and weighing 2,3 t was to be seen. It was meant for a customer in Põltsamaa. "Our company is halfway through its third year of business and we have built ca 20 such frames. Travelling about Estonia one can see our cranes everywhere," says Hanno Krosing with pride. The gentleman is over 70 and still active in business. Respect!
