Estonian enterprises plan to invest 400 mln kroons into product development

The Baltic Course: Since June 2008 when the foundation Enterprise Estonia launched its product development programme, enterprises are planning to use it to invest more than 400 million kroons, writes Äripäev.ee/LETA. Enterprise Estonia noted that the aid from the foundation will form half of this amount. "The level of interest and the amount of good projects is indicated, for example, by the fact that by now the financed projects involve approximately the same amount as during the years 2004-2006 in total," said the director of the innovation division of Enterprise Estonia Ilmar Pralla. He noted that 36 development projects have received financing, just as many are being elaborated at the moment. With the help of product development subsidies, a number of products and services that have turned out to be abroad have been elaborated. |
"Among the examples that can be listed are the mobile positioning services by AS Regio, as well as the Dr Hellus product series by AS Tere, energy cocoons of AS NeoQ, production appliances of AS Ritsu for producing log houses etc," said Pralla. The product development subsidies are meant for all Estonian enterprises, regardless of their size, which want to develop new products, services, technologies or to continue developing the existing ones. |
