Estonian investors more active in Latvia and Lithuania than ever before

BBN: The number of Estonian investors, who have invested to Riga and Vilnius stock exchange increased to history's highest level, it appears from the statistics of Estonian central register of securities (CSD), aripaev.ee reports.

In the beginning of July the register had registered 1191 asset accounts, which had stock from Riga or Vilnius stock exchange. The number of investors who have invested to other Baltic countries has grown by 43 pct in the past two years.

 

Tallinn Stock Exchange had 23,409 investors in the beginning of July, which is the highest level of last ten months. The number of investors decreased notably (from 24,373 to 22,525) in September last year after Saku Õlletehas delisted. After that the number of investors has slowly grown.

Tallinn stock exchange had the biggest number of investors after stock crash in 1998, when 35,069 investors had shares of local listed company.
